Mobile app development companies will have to look into the processor dilemma of galaxy s4

There is a stiff competition between android flagship devices this year. Unlike 2012 where S3 had a clear ground; the s4 will face Xperia Z and One X which have both capitalized on the weakest area of Samsung. The build quality! However, evaluating the benchmark tests the S4 scores little higher over the two due to its Exynos processor which comes with an 8 core processing unit. However, the UK and US variant is likely to be powered with the same s4 quadcore processor that runs on Z and One. One of the probable explanations is that that the S4 quadcore gives outstanding performance in LTE and the octa core will not match it. However it has been revealed later that the octa core does support LTE but the US and UK buyers will not be able to claim that their phone is powered by an octa core processor. Why so?

Shortage of Exynos?
It might be possible that Samsung has not been able to pile up its inventory of the octa core processor and hence it has decided to power its American and British handsets with a snapdragon s4. However, it’s not convincing to think that, as US is one of the most potential markets for Samsung to outsell Apple once again with its flagship device.

Dilemma of mobile app development companies
Along with developed countries like US, Android devices are also popular in developing countries and hence the Google app store as well. As of now developers do not have substantial data on difference in performance of the two processors. However, creating an app that runs equally on both the processors will be a thing to look out for.
